Demi's words- Don't take anything personally. Whatever people say and do isn't because of you, it's the projection of the way they are feeling inside. When people are kind to you is because they are kind and loving to themselves. When people lash out at you with their words and actions, it's not because you have done something bad but because they are suffering themselves. We don't know what they're struggling with at home.

Goal- The next time someone says something that hurts you, visualize it as a bead of water that rolls off you.


This is a true statement but I think it's important to know that just because you are sad or upset doesn't give you the right to lash out at anyone you feel like. I have experienced this and it is something that I don't even recognize until later. I don't mean to hurt anyone with my words or actions but sometimes I do and it's important for people to know that whoevers hurting inside they say or do something unnecessarily, it isn't something you did. Just know they need your love and support and everything else will fall into place.
