Ever since i've had an eating problems i've been more aware of what people say and conversations regarding food and weight and i don't really hear terms thrown around anymore but non direct comments and it bugs me so much! For example my brother has had trouble like sitting down during meals like he "forgets" to eat or isn't really interesting in it, he would rather do something else and my mom today said "Q it's almost like you're anorexic" and i glared at her like WTF? I almost said something to her but i didn't cause i didn't want to start an unnecessary argument because we've been getting along really well so far this year and i want to keep it that way :)
Eating disorders are real problems and shouldn't be treated as a status symbol. Mental health problems aren't adjectives. They are real and i find it disrespectful to those who actually struggle. Also please be courteous of others because you never know who is sitting right next to you is going through.
