Demi's words- One of the biggest pet peeves is when i see people talking to the other people without looking at the other person in the eyes. We all have so much power when we speak from the heart, but if we don't really look at them when we talk, we won't be able to connect with them. It's often in the eyes where we see how a person is really feeling-not in their words. Body language also speaks volumes, so it's important to be aware of how you're carrying yourself.
Goal- Whomever you speak to, make sure you look them in the eyes and connect with them. They will respect you more and you will respect yourself more.
It's very disheartening when you think people are bonding with you and like to be with you and once you see them in the halls or somewhere outside of the class they see me as if i'm invisible. It's not worth wasting your time fighting for a friendship that just won't be. Waiting for a person in your life who you click with and respects you in all aspects of life is so worth it. Even if you only find two people in your life who are like that, at least you get the respect you deserve and can count on them for anything.
