"We become what we think about" Earl Nightingale

This is one of the most real quotes i've read in a while in a while and it's very simple but holds so much meaning. This quote is very true, if you would have given me this quote and have made me read it i wouldn't have as much a precise answer or enough knowledge to explain this correctly. Now that i've hold enough experience to fully understand this quote i have a lot to say. It we hear something enough even though it's not true you will believe it because you hear it 24/7, nothing is more frightening than realizing you are the only one thinking something among your friends and people you know. At the very beginning we tend to disregard to what we're doing isn't right because as much as we know it's not a healthy way to cope we try to believe it as much as possible because we want to keep it a secret for as long as you can.

When snippets of your rational mind come in you slowly start to realize that you are fully consumed with the thing you thought you could control. When i started my ED i didn't think it was the key to weight loss, to this day i know it's not it's my way of coping with the world with the side effect of weight fluctuation. I have become what i think about. Food, weight, calories. I don't remember a time where i don't think about food or numbers including body size and food.

It's really scary when you know for a fact that you have become a person you don't recognize. I don't know who i am or what i will think about when i don't have food occupying my time. If you're reading this now and thinking of starting a journey towards weight loss, please don't go this route. If you're having a hard time in your life and you think food is something you can control, please find a healthy outlet. Yes, food can be a healthy thing to focus on such as veganism, vegetarianism, cooking, being a waitress etc. but when your find yourself subconsciously going to food to fill a hole let me just tell you that hole will NEVER be filled no matter how much food, how little, how much you work out, the number on the scale, there is a still a void you are constantly trying to fill.

Your mind tells you it will fill whatever needs to be filled but physically you are stuffed with food but your mind says more, you sweat until you pass out but your mind says more. Your stomach is eating itself but your mind says more. You will never be satisfied because the wound in your head is never healed.
