Demi's words- No matter how strong or tough you think you are, each and every one of us leads to release our emotions. Some people cry a lot and others cry infrequently. But I know that when I really need to cry and I finally do, I feel like a new person. It's a way for me to let go and release-to express my sadness.

Goal- It's not healthy to bottle up strong emotions, so allow yourself to release them.


Crying can be like finally breathing after holding your breath under water. It feels really good and it can make you feel alive again after holding in your pain for a long time. Some people say crying is a sign of weakness, it's actually a sign of strength. Knowing that you can deal with your feelings by crying is a powerful thing. When you struggle with self-destructive behavior and you feel a strong or uncomfortable emotion, your immediate go to is that behavior to calm yourself down because you know for a fat that it will help you more than getting them out in a healthy way can. It's hard but it's a great thing to feel emotions for the first time in years of stuffing so many feelings down, and getting to experience a normal human reaction, is pretty amazing.
